Key Responsibilities

• Manage the company’s day-to-day accounting and finance operations.
• Handle full set of accounts, including preparation and review of accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and supporting schedules.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Prepare cash flow projections and assist with budgeting and financial planning.
• Monitor project-related claims, collections and payments.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, clients and relevant authorities.
• Ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements, including SST and taxation matters.
• Prepare documentation and schedules for audit and tax purposes.
• Review accounting records and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information.
• Assist management with financial analysis and reporting for decision-making.
• Establish and improve accounting procedures, SOPs and internal controls.
• Supervise and provide guidance to accounting staff.
• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.
  
  

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in handling full set of accounts
• Good understanding of Malaysia accounting, tax and statutory requirements
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good organisational and time-management skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in engineering consultancy / construction / professional services will be an added advantage
